How to Request Data Deletion

To request deletion of your data, please send an email to:

What to Include in Your Request

Please include the following information in your email:

Your name (as registered in your Nudge account)
Your email address (associated with your account)
Account type: Merchant account or End-customer data
Store name or URL (if you're a merchant)
Any additional details to help us identify your data

If you're an end-customer (not a merchant), you may also contact the merchant who collected your data, as they are the data controller for your information.

What Happens Next

1. Verification

We will verify your identity to ensure the request is legitimate. This protects your data from unauthorized deletion requests.

2. Processing

We will process your request within 30 days as required by GDPR.

3. Deletion

Your data will be permanently deleted within 90 days, except where we're legally required to retain it (e.g., billing records for tax purposes are retained for 7 years).

4. Confirmation

We will send you a confirmation email once your data has been deleted.

What Gets Deleted

When you request data deletion, we will delete:

Your account information (email, name, password)
Store configuration and settings
Customer contact information (phone numbers, names)
Messages metadata
Campaign settings and templates

What Gets Retained (Legal Requirements)

Some data must be retained by law and cannot be deleted:

Billing records: Invoices and payment records are retained for 7 years (tax law requirement)
Fraud prevention logs: Anonymized security logs may be retained to prevent abuse

This limited data retention is permitted under GDPR Article 17(3) for legal compliance purposes.
